Common Questions
You don't have a standard product that meets our needs, can you make something custom? | Yes! We specialize in custom design and production, check out our custom solution options. |
We are on a budget, what is the least expensive piezo you offer? | Bare piezoceramic can be very low cost but difficult to integrate into an end design. Some customers expect piezos to be available for less than $10, we may not be the right partner if that is your intent - even in volume, we will be tens of dollars. You may be better off going with one of our competitors if cost is your primary driver, see them here. That being said, we do have some less expensive options. Our least expensive bare piezo sheet is the T109-A5NO-1803. Our least expensive multilayer bender is the S118-H5SS-1808YB available for just $60 in quantity 1, and $36 each when buying 5. |
What does the part numbering signify? | A part number effectively describes the full product. An example with variables is: PLTT-MMSS-AAAA-XB P - Defines the packaging, T for standard, Q for quick mount, D for double quick mount, and S for sealed. L - Number of piezo layers TT - Thickness of the complete package measured in mils (thousandths of an inch) MM - Piezo material, either H5 for PZT 5H and A5 for PZT 5A. SS - Shim material, either BR for brass, SS for stainless steel, FR for FR4, NO for none, and CF for carbon fiber AAAA - The length then the width of the piezo measured in tenths of an inch. For example, 1107 means the piezo area is 1.1" x 0.7" X - Poling direction B - Mode of operation, B for a bender, E for an extender, A for all/both (four pins are available) |
